8 functions of a Marketplace Prophet

SPEAK GOD’S WORD BOLDLY: JEREMIAH 1:7-9

You are to speak God’s Word boldly and share His truth with confidence and clarity, even when it’s unpopular or met with resistance. It reflects a deep trust in God’s authority and a commitment to stand firm in faith, no matter the cost.

CALL FOR JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS: AMOS 5:24

Prophets demand justice and righteousness, which means promoting fairness, honesty, and ethical practices in business. It challenges exploitation and corruption, creating a culture where integrity thrives and all people are treated with dignity. This does not mean overlooking sin or ungodly behavior.

EXPOSE AND CONFRONT CORRUPTION: MICAH 3:9-11

Prophets are given the job of calling out sin and corruption in leaders and systems, speaking against hypocrisy, and exposing unfair or harmful practices.

PROVIDE STRATEGIC COUNSEL FROM GOD: Judges 4:14

Prophets give divine insight that leads to wise decisions, especially in complex and chaotic situations. They offer Spirit-led solutions, innovations, or warnings in business and public policy

STAND AS MORAL AND SPIRITUAL WATCHMAN: Ezekiel 33:6-7

Prophets serve as watchmen, discerning the times and warning people before danger strikes, including economic or ethical disasters. This includes confronting marketplace witches and warlocks.

UPLIFT AND ENCOURAGE THE FAITHFUL: I Corinthians 14:3 NIV

Prophets not only rebuke but also bring encouragement and hope to the righteous.

You are charged with encouraging your peers, inspiring perseverance, and affirming God’s plans and purposes for them.

MODEL INTEGRITY AND KINGDOM CULTURE: MATTHEW 7:12

Prophets must live lives of integrity and model what Kingdom values look like in action. Be a living example by demonstrating generosity and character that is aligned with God’s heart.

 PRAY AND DECLARE THE WILL OF GOD: Jeremiah 1:9-10

Prophets are uniquely positioned as the voice of God in the Earth. They are to discern the tactics of the enemy, pray, and boldly declare the will of God in secular spaces of influence.
